Thus you set up a new eMail account with Outlook Express:
Click within the upper range of navigation on "Tools / Accounts".
Select in the now opened new window "Add / Mail".
Next enter your name. The name entered here is indicated later with the receivers of your eMails as sender. Thus it is advisable, to enter here either your
first name and surname, company name or department names, e.g. "SUPPORT domaxxx.de".
Click on "Next" and enter your eMail address.
Confirm the input again by clicking on "Next" and type in now the incoming mail server and the SMTP server. Contrary to the entries in the following example picture you enter here instead of the given example "mail.domaxxx.de" YOUR domain name with the prefix "mail.", thus e.g.
mail.maxi mustermann.de or mail.YOUR_DOMAINNAME.xxx
This indication is to type in both for the incoming mail server and for the SMTP server.
With the upper rollup "POP3" must be selected.
By the confirmation with "Next" you will lead to the next illustration, where you must enter the account name and your password.
The account name corresponds to your complete eMail address, thus e.g. "support@domaxxx.de". You specified your password when setting up the eMail account on www.domaxxx.de.
Mark alternatively "Remember password", if you do not like to enter your password with each connection to the mail server. The attitude "Log on using Secure Password Authentification (SPA)" remains deactivated.
Confirm the inputs by clicking on "Next" and in the following one with "Finish".
Next you will see the previous input window. Mark with one leftclick with the mouse the eMail account and click on "Properties".
Select in the upper navigation of the window the panel "Server" and activate the control box "My server requires authentication".
Confirm with "OK" and in the following one "Close". Your new eMail account is now setted up and you can now receive and send eMails.
You can test your eMail account by sending an eMail at echo@domaxxx.de. This receiver sends you automatically an feedback to your eMail account. If you receive this eMail, your mail account works well.
