Outlook Express Configuration

Thus you set up a new eMail account with Outlook XP (Outlook 2002):
(Sorry, only available with german snapshots.)
  • Open your Outlook XP over "Start / Programs / Microsoft Outlook". If you start the program for the first time, the Outlook XP starting assistant opens automatically.

    Click on "Next", in order to continue with the installation.



  • If the assistant does not start automatically, please select "Extras / E-Mail-Konten".



  • Select "Add a new E-Mail account" and click on "Next".



  • Choose "POP3" for server type and click afterwards on "Next".



  • Type in now the data for the eMail account: For the POP3-Server you enter YOUR domain name with the prefix "mail.", same apply to the SMTP server.

    The user name corresponds to your complete eMail address, e.g. "support@domaxxx.de", the password you specified when setting up the eMail account on www.domaxxx.de.

    Click afterwards on "Next".



  • Your eMail configuration is nearly ready now. Click in the next dialogue window on "Finish".



  • Subsequently please call the properties of the mail account and activate with the server attitudes the option "My server requires authentication".
  • You can test your eMail account by sending an eMail at echo@domaxxx.de. This receiver sends you automatically an feedback to your eMail account. If you receive this eMail, your mail account works well.
  • If sending/receiving eMails should not work and all settings are correctly made by you, please contact the software producer. domaxxx.de unfortunately can not take over support for this product.
