Google is at present the world-wide most successful search engine of the company Google Inc. with seat in Mountain View (Santa Clara County, California, the USA). The company was created in September 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. On the same day a first test version of the program was brought on the market. In September 1999 the search engine went to the net officially. The name Google is shaped by Milton Sirotta and is a new word creation of the term Googol (number of 1 with 100 zeros - by the term of the mathematician Edward Kasner).
